Families with children aged five and under in Ledbury are invited to join in a Family Fun Day on June 4 from 11am-2pm to celebrate national family week.
Now in its third year, National Family Week is the largest celebration of families and family life in the UK. This year over 6,000 family-friendly events and activities will take place all across the country during the week and Herefordshire Council’s children’s centre in Ledbury is proud to be part of this great family initiative.
The average family spends just 49 minutes a day together, according to a poll commissioned by National Family Week in 2010, so it’s time to shine the spotlight on the importance of spending time together as a family.
Ledbury Children’s Centre is preparing to have lots of fun with plenty of activities for the whole family to get stuck into including making healthy smoothies, treasure hunts, modeling, painting and den making. Jenny Goddard from Music Pool will be leading creative sessions with music and storytelling for the under five year olds. Families are welcome to bring a picnic which they enjoy outside in the centre’s garden.
