We appreciate that it can be challenging to juggle the role of Nursery Manager, therefore we have made the decision to split this Nursery Manager role in half. Our Nursery Childcare Manager will focus on the recruitment and continuous development of our dedicated staff team as well as ensuring that 'Outstanding' care and learning is happening throughout the Nursery. Our Nursery Business Manager (Sales and Marketing Manager) will concentrate on all things operational and be mainly based within the office.

You will both work hand in hand to ensure the nursery is leading the way within your region.

 About our Quedgeley Nursery

Sitting on the Green Farm Estate in the Quedgeley area of Gloucester this beautiful purpose build nursery rated GOOD by Ofsted, is easily accessible from Gloucester city centre as well as the M4 Motorway, number 14, 12 and 91 bus routes. We are very lucky to have a purpose built wooden adventure play area, separate gardens for each age group as well as a sensory garden.

Key responsibilities: 


  • Empower the team to deliver rich learning opportunities for all children by creating unique and exciting activities.
  • To lead and work proactively with the current Early Years Framework
  • Establish and monitor the effectiveness of the planning for individual Children
  • Role model interaction with children and support staff to foster an enthusiasm for learning
  • Ensure all staff are fully aware of their responsibilities and carry out their role in line with all policies, procedures and legislative requirements
  • Train and mentor all staff members
  • Manage the overall day to day operation of the nursery

You need:

  • At least 1 years previous experience as a Nursery Manager
  • Minimum of 4 years occupational experience in a nursery setting
  • To have held a full and relevant Early Years qualification for at least 3 years
  • An unrivalled dedication to deliver exceptional childcare
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
