Description

Job Title Nursery Practitioner Bank Staff Member

Little Adventurers Nursery is a nursery with a difference, where children’s individual needs are at the heart of all we do; where children are encouraged to discover, explore and investigate the world around them.

We are a family run nursery offering high-quality childcare for children from 3 months to 5 years. Our aim is to be considered as an extension to each of our little one’s own family and our ethos is to provide a home from home environment where children are cherished as they learn and develop. We are passionate about Early Years education and strive to deliver best practice throughout our setting and therefore follow a highly selective recruitment process.

Requirements

We are looking for our own Bank Staff member to complete our highly regarded and wonderful staff team. As a bank staff practitioner, you would have the opportunity to work in a nursery environment but without the fixed parameters (& paperwork commitments) of a permanent position. Also, being part of our bank staff would give you complete flexibility to work for small amounts of time during the year when it suits you. Individuals must be experienced, caring and professional with a sound understanding of the EYFS, an ability to support children’s learning and development in a creative and flexible way as well as sharing our nursery’s ethos and aims (please see our website for details.) Applicants should also have strong communication skills with children and adults, a comprehensive knowledge of child development and the key person approach.

In return, we offer our staff the opportunity to be involved in an innovative and creative team with leadership from a Manager and Deputy Manager who have over 35 years’ experience between them. To work in a bespoke new nursery with small nursery rooms and a friendly excelling staff team. We are committed to the ongoing professional development of each staff member.

Qualifications

Desirable qualifications: Level 2 or 3 early years qualification. However, we may consider candidates without the relevant childcare qualification if they have experience, skills and attributes or are in the process of studying. Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C in English and Maths. 1-year experience of working in childcare but we would prefer in excess of 2 years. IT literate with sound knowledge of Microsoft applications.
