The role:

As Room Leader, you will be responsible for the day to day management of your room and effective leadership of staff within the room. Whilst working as part of a team to care for and teach our children providing the best start possible. You will plan monitor and evaluate activities for children in line with the EYFS whilst ensuring safeguarding standards are met.

As a Room Leader, your role will be responsible for the following:

  • Achieving the desired outcomes within your rooms on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as required by the Manager.

  • Compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework.

  • Effective leadership of staff within the room, exemplifying good practice and being a role model for other staff and in the absence of the Deputy Manager the Team Leader would support the Nursery Manager in the supervision and deployment of all staff in the Nursery.

  • To deliver a service of the highest standard that will develop and improve each child’s quality of life. To respect each child as an individual, taking in its appropriate needs.

Because of the nature of this role, you will need to complete an enhanced criminal record disclosure (DBS check).

The is a permanent, full time (40 hours per week) role.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 3 childcare qualification (please note, health and social care qualifications are not relevant)
  • At least 1 year working within a nursery setting
  • To be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of the Ofsted requirements and the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
