As a Senior Practitioner at one of our nurseries, your key responsibility will be to act as a key worker to children within the nursery/unit and to work as part of a team with other practitioners and management to provide a high standard of emotional, social and intellectual care for all children at the nursery.
This role is working 35 hours per week over 5 days, however, we can offer the option of 35 hours per week over 4 days with a day off in the week, and this will be discussed during interview.

For this role, it is imperative you have a Level 3 Childcare qualification or above and have proven experience working successfully in a Childcare setting acting as a Key Worker to a group of children.
You will also be able to engage well with other team members and senior management, ensuring you provide support and act as a role model to colleagues at all times.
A clear and valid DBS is paramount and overseas applicants will need a clear and valid certificate of good conduct. Please note we will conduct a suitability check prior to interview.
Your Responsibilities and Duties will involve:
Assist in completing managers checks alongside the Room Manager
Support the Room Manager in ensuring that all daily, weekly and monthly checks are completed
Ensure the unit is kept clean and tidy at all times
Ensure meals are served appropriately and when needed, administering medicine to children
Ensure that accident trends in the nursery are monitored
Ensure staff are trained and coached, ensuring there are appropriate staff in the room
Contribute to staff meetings and celebrate good practice
Assist in maximising nursery income (extra bookings, t-shirts, late charges, meals, trips, sunblock, etc.
Be competent and effective in designing and monitoring Profiles for children, ensure they are settling and developing short term, medium and long-term plans for key children, alongside next steps and learning journeys.
Encourage parents to attend meetings and ensure feedback is given to each parent upon collection
Encourage relationships with local schools, charities, involvement with community and take children on trips
Keep up to date with current practice courses, conferences, reading relevant magazines and books.
