The Nursery Manager provides effective leadership and management to the nursery in line with all statutory requirements, alongside the vision and values of Buckingham First Nursery. They are fully accountable for the day to day running of the nursery, working closely with the Nursery Directors to drive the delivery of a quality experience for our families. The Manager will also manage aspects of business delivery and provide a strong position of leadership to the staff team so that they are able to implement an environment that satisfies all the children's educational and developmental needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To manage the daily operations of the nursery
  • To work within the vision and direction of the Directors
  • To promote excellent practice at all times
  • Work to deliver the highest quality of care for the children in the nursery
  • To ensure the nursery is compliant and achieves a good/outstanding in the Ofsted inspections
  • To lead, manage and develop the nursery staff team to ensure that each member meets their roles and responsibilities
  • To lead practice across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • To support and mentor other practitioners in the skills and behaviours that safeguard and promote good outcomes for all of the children
  • To lead the planning and tracking of children's development across the nursery
  • To manage business processes
  • To manage staff training
