Childcare Manager - Out of School Clubs

We are the fastest growing childcare provider in the South East, with 7 sites in Milton Keynes, as well as venues in Bury St Edmunds, Leighton Buzzard, Kettering, St Albans and London. Due to our continued success, we now have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Childcare Manager to manage our Out of School Club team in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire.

You must be qualified in childcare, to a Level 3 or above, with previous experience in a similar management role.

The breakfast clubs run from 7:30am-9am and after school clubs from 3pm-6pm. You must be flexible to work between these hours when needed, alternating with the Deputy Manager to work with the needs of the business. Further daytime hours may be available between the clubs in our nursery settings.

You will be working with a wide range of children between the ages of 0-12 years, this really is a very varied and interesting position, where no 2 days are the same!!

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure the effective daily management of the setting is in accordance with Company Policy, the Children Act 2004, and other relevant legislation; and all Local Authority and OFSTED requirements.
  • Ensure the safety, security and well being of all children registered with the Setting.
  • Monitor and ensure all agreed Company quality and safety standards are maintained in the setting at all times.
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the setting and meet occupancy and financial objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC or other appropriate qualification in Childcare/Play Work
  • A minimum of three years post qualifying experience with children aged 0 to 11 years
  • The ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Knowledge and understanding of OFSTED standards
  • Knowledge and understanding of childcare management
  • Ability to lead childcare team, developing positive relationships with colleagues, parents, children and outside agencies.
  • Experience / knowledge of OFSTED Inspection
  • Financial management experience
  • Experience with software packages
  • First Aid Certificate
