Little Jewels is a small and friendly Pre-school, situated close to Haringey Station. We pride ourselves on being child focus and are held in high regard by the local community. We achieved a good level during the last OFSTED inspection and are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff who can deliver our commitment to good quality childcare.

We are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff who can assist the Pre-school Manager to deliver our commitment to good quality childcare and to advance our grading to “outstanding”.

You will provide leadership and direction for the delivery of the EYFS for the team. You will be an excellent role model and support colleagues to perform to the best of their ability. You will uphold the preschool values, and put each child’s wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

Specific Responsibilities are as follows:

  • To be able to deputies on the absent of the Manager
  • To deliver high quality of standard to all users
  • To take charge of SENCO and liaise with outside agencies
  • To develop and promote the EYFS and ensure its delivery within the setting and that the principles aims are adhered to.
  • Ensuring all children activities are planned and the seven areas of learning are covered.
  • To evaluate performance by monitoring the quality of Learning and Teaching within the team.
  • Coaching and mentoring and nursery nurses to maintain documentation, evidence and tracking to demonstrate the progress being made by each child.
  • To supervise the development, preparation and execution of the daily lesson plans and ensure that each session runs smoothly and without repetition.
  • To check all reports, monthly programmes and activities as required.

Requirement

  • Level 5 or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area
  • Minimum 2 years’ management experience
  • Able to problem solve and deal with day to day issues or running the nursery
  • Able to organise the day and effectively lead the team
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Able to supervise and train employees, to include organising, prioritising and scheduling work assignments
  • Passion, Integrity and Energy
