We are now recruiting for a Trainee Nursery Manager (Third in Charge) to assist the Manager and Deputy Manager in leading the team at Woodlands Park Private Day Nursery in on a full time and permanent basis.

As the ideal candidate for the Trainee Manager role, you must be educated to a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development (or equivalent) and with recent early years’ experience. You will have an understanding of the EYFS and sound knowledge of child protection procedures with a positive approach to learning and gain new skills through teamwork and training opportunities.

As the successful applicant your key responsibility as Trainee Nursery Manager is to assist the Manager and Deputy in the day to day running of the nursery within the company and OFSTED guidelines, paying particular attention to the needs of the children and ensuring that they are provided with a wide variety of learning experiences and quality care. You will monitor nursery staff to ensure that they are performing their job role effectively and assisting in training and support in this area to allow the team to continue to develop. In your new role, you will attend regular staff meetings, helping with the implementation of any changes and taking responsibility for overseeing specific areas of the nursery as defined by the manager
