Review submitted from a Website Submission by Charile H (Father of Child) on Monday 9 May 2016. Relates to December 2015.
My elder child went here before starting Primary school and when it was owned by the previous owners. They were great couldn't fault them. Since the new owners came in, and I had a second child. I decided to enrol him at this nursery. I used to see staff smoking onsite constantly. But thought it was none of my business. A few weeks in and my child developed a nasty cough, I initially thought it was a cold. But he wouldn't shake it off. Trip to the doctors, and they advised that he could develop Asthma if we didn't stop smoking at home. I was horrified, neither myself or my partner have ever smoked at home. The only other explanation was the staff smoking at the Nursery. I asked to speak to the Owner and was directed to a burly woman stood outside smoking. I was absolutely horrified. I was told smoking was permitted at the rear of the nursery and that they would not stop smoking as they didn't see it being an issue. Took my child out of that place that day.
