Reviews

8.8 Butterflies Nursery has a Review Score of 8.8 (8.790)

The Review Score of 8.8 (maximum of 10) for Butterflies Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Butterflies Nursery in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.695 for Butterflies Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (57 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 82 Ratings = 4.695

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 4.095 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Butterflies Nursery is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 3.75

    2. Target of 11.6 positive Reviews (58 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 4 Reviews ÷ 11.6 Target = 0.345

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Thank you for taking your time to review Butterflies, it’s a pleasure to take care of your little one and we are really pleased they are enjoying their time at Butterflies.

My little boy started at the age of 2 only being able to speak 4 words, within weeks he came home with a selection of new words. 18 months later, he's never quiet. He loves it here and runs to nursery most days. He also loves the baby snails! My only negative is that there is no sports day or parents evening, but saying that you are free to go through the child's drawer whenever you like to see what they have been up to. You are informed on collection every day what activities they have done, their behaviour and what they have eaten etc.

Thank you for taking your time to review Butterflies.

It is lovely to hear how well your little one has progressed and it was a pleasure to help them achieve this.
Now the nursery is under new ownership we will be having parents meetings these will be on 6th December, 28th March, 4th July. We will also be planning lots of parent partnership days so parents have the chance to get involved in their child's learning. Please keep an eye out for these events and we look forward to welcoming you to them. You are also very welcome to chat to your child's key person at any time.
Thank you again for your review
The Butterflies Team

I brought my 2 girls here spanning a time of 11 years and both girls have absolutely thrived here, I'd highly recommend Butterflies. The staff are wonderful with the children and they were brilliant at working with my child in a way that complimented and reinforced my parenting style. The food is fantastic thanks to their in-house cook and at the end of their session, I had an in-depth run down if what my daughter's day involved. My youngest has just started school and misses Butterflies so much, she's got a photo of her key worker on her bedroom wall so she can say goodnight to her. A+ Butterflies!

I and, most importantly, my 2 children love this nursery. They have been attending for a year now and I cannot imagine them going anywhere else. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Not only do they enjoy fun and creative activities every day, I can also see them learning and growing each day supported by the lovely staff. I am also very impressed by the delicious/healthy menu. I know that they are safe, happy and cared for while I am at work, and you cannot ask for more than that!

They always help with any queries I have, my son brings me home lots of lovely pictures, the food offered has a wide variety, I just feel a drink of juice for a treat wouldn't go a miss now and then.
