Reviews

6.5 Queens Park Community Nursery has a Review Score of 6.5 (6.474)

The Review Score of 6.5 (maximum of 10) for Queens Park Community Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 3 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Queens Park Community Nursery in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 1.6 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 2 years. (A 2 year period has been used as there were no positive reviews in the last 12 months)

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.917 for Queens Park Community Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (34 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.917

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 1.557 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Queens Park Community Nursery is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 = 3 then divided by 2 = 1.500

    2. Target of 8.8 positive Reviews (44 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 1 Reviews ÷ 8.8 Target = 0.114 , then divided by 2 = 0.057

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

My son has been with Queens Park Community Nursery since 2012. We have no doubt rate the best nursery anyone can send their children to. My second one like it and much and staff have helped built a great relationship between the two. I can't say enough to express how grateful I am. The staff makes all the difference and I have no doubt all the parents agree with me.

My one year old is attending LEYF Queen's Park Nursery and she absolutely loves it! The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. They encourage any developments and provide a very active environment full of learning and new experiences. There is a lot of outside playtime and trips to farms and parks. The relatively small scale nursery provides a very safe and friendly environment where the children are encouraged to explore and learn new things, yet never pushed. Nice to see that there are still places in London that allow a child to be a child and develop at their own speed, leaving enough time for creativity and playing themselves (not train them and eliminate all creativity, enthusiasm and thinking outside the box).

I would highly recommend QP Community nursery. My little boy has been there since he was 14 months old for 2 days a week (he is now nearly 3). It has an outstanding OFSTED rating but the thing that makes it outstanding and so amazing to me are the staff. They are so warm, loving and caring and provide a very nurturing environment.

They are very open to suggestions and have recently completely changed the dessert options at lunch for healthy options. I also heard a really nice idea yesterday of introducing weekend books so that staff and children can chat in the week about what they did at the weekend to bring together home and nursery.

My sons transition from the baby room to the toddler room was handled with extreme care and attention. If he ever felt like he wanted to go back to the baby room at any point then he could have (he didn't want to though!) My Son does have days, like any child, where he doesn't want to go to Nursery however; on those days the staff are always very good at getting him involved with something he really likes and chatting to him. The individual likes of each child are clearly known. The staff are also very accepting that either myself or my husband stay with our son until he is happy to be left. What I also really like is that all the children know each other as, at various points in the day, the babies get to mix with the toddlers and the toddlers with the preschoolers given them exposure to different children of different ages.

There is a lot of freedom around activities and children are never made to join in with things they don't want to do. They are allowed to naturally gravitate towards what interests them. There are lots of tables set up everyday for them to choose from.

There is a small outside area which is used very well with a ball pool which my son loves. They also go on trips together tot the local park.
