  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.506 for The Co-operative Childcare London (Waterloo) Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (99 Excellents x 5) + (73 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 180 Ratings = 4.506

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. 2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Co-operative Childcare London (Waterloo) Nursery is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

    2. Target of 12.8 positive Reviews (64 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 14 Reviews ÷ 12.8 Target Reached = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

My son loves coming to nursery. He has met lots of his friends at Waterloo nursery and enjoys playing with them in the garden, riding the bikes and exploring the indoor spaces. Staff always keep us posted about what our son did during the day and also gives excellent advice on child development and games we could play at home to help him develop skills.

We can strongly recommend this nursery.

My daughter started here when she was 6 months old and I was so nervous about leaving my baby there as she was struggling to even sit up unaided, but the staff here were so lovely and supportive in helping me wean her, getting her to sit up and crawl, she really enjoyed being with so many different children and copying them. I think the menu they have could be a little more diverse, and try to include popular foods from around the world, but everything else is so perfect. Everyone from the managers to the cleaning staff really and truly want what is best for your child and are so welcoming and easy to talk to! It's also really nice to see a male manager as part of diversity as childcare is an industry led and formed by mainly women.

Very happy with this nursery. Lot of activities, I have noticed my son's made a lot of progress since he started. He really bound with his key person. It feels like a family athmosphere I am happy to leave my son to. That was really the best choice, especially given the location and the price.

Our daughter has been attending the Waterloo Co-op nursery since August 2016 and we have been extremely happy with the care she has received there. In particular, we have found all of the staff (carers and support staff) to be very friendly and genuinely caring towards all or the children in their care. We feel that this is safe and stimulating environment where our daughter can flourish. A truly excellent nursery!

I really like the nursery. The staff give lots of feedback about my child's day and there are lots of things to take home that my child has done. I feel like the staff listen to me as a parent and are willing to work with me in my child's interests and they will organise activities based on the interests of the children as a whole. My only wish is that sessions/hours could be a bit more flexible.

A trusted longstanding provider of excellent childcare for families in the Waterloo area. Great nursery with not a long waiting list. The settling-in period is well explained and planned through by their experienced early year's practitioner. A lot of the staff have worked there for more than 10 years or even more which says a lot about the organisation and culture of the nursery. The staff are young but very professional and take good care of the children. The end of day reports is the best part of collecting your child. Everything is well documented and explained if you have any questions they always have time for you. Children are clean and feed very well.

We are very happy about the nursery but more importantly the care given to our daughter. The staff are always great to her and us. Very professional with all the information on day sheets. Very kind and caring when she had been feeling unwell.

Very professional and friendly environment, great for children to be happy, feel safe and to grow and learn. My child learned a lot in terms of numbers, alphabet, the time, etc and still asks to go back to nursery although she has started primary school!

I am happy with the nursery's approach from the nursery. I am happy with the care being given to my daughter.
I am only concerned about keeping up with nursery fees such as non-direct debit fees.

I hope this can be reviewed as not all parents are able to pay by direct debit and I don't think we should be penalised.

I also stated Good and not Excellent because at times I have found that my emails are not responded to in a timely manner. I am still waiting on a reply to my second email about this month's invoice.

In addition, I have had my daughter's gloves lost a couple of times and I have had to buy a new pair each time. Imagine my little one not having gloves at end of day in this very cold weather.

Otherwise, the service is good and my daughter shows improvement.

My son has been with the nursery since he was 13 months old, he settled in very quickly, transitioning from room to room with no problems at all. The staff care for the children as if they are their own and as a result, my son has thrived here and really enjoys his days. His keyworkers have consistently gone above and beyond and he had a great relationship with all staff and children there. The only slight negative point I have is that the food (quantity and quality) can be much improved and some day trips, or trips to a local park would be beneficial as the outside space although does the job, is a bit small. All in all, I would recommend this nursery to friends.

My child spent 3 years in this nursery. Overall, I was very happy with the way the staff looked after my son. Particularly good was the pre-school room. My child was well prepared for school - he was thought patience, listening, basic reading and writing skills (e.g. to write his name, to read all the letters and main sounds etc.). They played a lot too and would spend a lot of time outdoor in a pretty little backyard garden.
In addition, the nursery had excellent working hours (when my child attended it from April 2013 until July 2016) - from 7:30am until 6:30pm.
I also appreciated the diversity of both the children attending the nursery and the staff. Diversity was proactively encouraged and celebrated in this nursery.
The only thing I wasn't particularly happy with was the menu which featured too many sugary deserts (cakes, puddings, custards every day) . However, the nursery accommodated my request that all deserts are replaced with yogurt or fruit for my son.

Staff have been very patient with my son, who initially struggled with his new environment. I see improvements in his development and in particular in his speech, which has helped massively with his frustration and tantrums with not be able to communicate very well. He runs in, in the mornings with a big smile on his face and excited for his breakfast.

My son attended the nursery from the age of 2 (approx early Mar 2014 - Aug 2016) till 4 and half yrs of age when he left to start reception school.
The location was fantastic for us. The staff were friendly. The hours from 07:30 am till 18:30 were fantastic especially if you are a commuter etc.

We were generally happy with the way our son was looked after.

Cannot recommend this nursery enough! Signing up was straight forward, and my son has settled in wonderfully! The staff are amazing with the children and the parents alike. I get feed back on my child daily and my son speaks fondly of the staff often! As an over protective parent, they instantly put me at ease and I know my child is more than well looked after whilst in the setting!
