Swingfield House is a small semi-rural nursery setting that provides care for babies and children, from three-months-old.

The nursery manager leads a team of experienced practitioners in providing a nurturing environment in which children feel safe and secure and families feel welcomed and respected.

Children engage in peer and family groups and are supported by a key person as they play, explore and learn.

Babies, (until they are 18 months) are cared for in a bespoke baby room which caters for a maximum of nine babies at any one time. When ready, babies move through to the Apples room. Here they play and engage until the term of their third birthday when they move to the Raspberries room.

The nursery has two outdoor classrooms and two gardens. In keeping with the semi-rural location the gardens have been developed with natural and reclaimed/recycled material and children regularly take part in growing and planting experiences.

The nursery has an on-site kitchen where meals are prepared and cooked and a large carpark.

The nursery offers all year round, term time and sessional childcare options. Funded spaces for eligible children aged two, three and four available. Fees are inclusive of meals and snacks and selected nappies and toiletries.

Congratulations on being judged 'outstanding' by Ofsted. As a teacher I know how hard the staff will have worked to get that rating! My granddaughter loves going to nursery and although she is quite quiet and reserved she is learning new skills every day. Apart from the standard reading, writing, spelling and number skills, she is developing her social skills. She has the opportunity to cook, learn French, practice yoga, dance, and explore her talents. She gets a filling, nutritious meal every time she goes and is much less fussy about her food than she was when she started! The staff are amazing and always make us feel so welcome and my granddaughter has her own key worker who monitors her progress and reports to me what she has done when I collect her. The atmosphere is warm and nurturing and the safeguarding procedures are excellent. Carry on the good work everyone and thank you for giving my granddaughter such a lovely introduction to education.

My son, now 17 months, has been attending Swingfield House Kid Ease since he was very small. He has developed very well in the baby room with the help of his Key Person. I am extremely happy to see him go in as he never cries, he's always smiling when he see's his Key Person, and he is very confident with all members of staff within the setting. He enjoys going in the garden and he enjoys all the food there! I am looking forward to his move up to Apples very soon, where I am certain they will keep up the good work!!
I would like to thank his Key Person and the Manager for encouraging his development.

My daughter has been attending the setting since Feb 2014. She settled at nursery in no time as the staff were so supportive and helpful. Today she is such a confident and caring little girl and most of the credit for it goes to the girls at nursery. I have found the staff so approachable which I think every parent looks for. The key person approach work really well as there is always a designated person who is looking after your child's needs, worries and records their development. I really like the natural look and feel of the nursery and also very impressed with the variety of Child-led and Adult-led experiences they do at nursery. These experiences have not only helped my child have fun but also learn, reason and develop at the same time. I was recommended this nursery as safeguarding and childcare is their priority. Every single member of their team is doing a great job, I would like to thank them in supporting and helping me in this journey of my child's development.

My son and daughter have used this nursery and I couldn't of wished for a better setting & better team of staff. My children are so happy to come here they cry when I collect them (what more could you want) the team of staff are like a family who run a smooth safe environment and offer an amazing range of activities. The outdoor environment is so inviting. They are always there with a smile on their face to invite you in on every session, my daughter has dietary needs and every need is met without feeling like I'm being a pain. I am happy to say I can't fault this nursery and without a doubt if there was another pitter patter I would be on there door step without needing to look round a long list of nurseries.

My grandson, now aged 14 months has attended Swingfield House for a year. He was very tiny when he started but as a family we were reassured by the small and relaxed baby room and by the confidence of the staff. He was looked after as an individual and his own routine was followed.
His development has been supported by the nursery and he loves coming. We never have any tears as he is always happy to go to his key person and when he is collected we always hear stories about his day and take home photographs and pictures of what he has been up to.
The nursery has become an extension of family and the love he has for staff is clear as is the love shown to him in return.
I couldn't be happier with this nursery.
