Midland Road Nursery School and Children’s Centre is one of seven nursery schools in the Bradford District. We are situated off Midland Road, Manningham, near Valley Parade Football Ground. The building is over 70 years old and was originally used as an infant’s school. It became a nursery 26 years ago. We have recently had new building work done to become a Children’s Centre. We have 3 well resourced rooms for children aged 2-5 and a newly built special room for babies. We are a multi-ethnic nursery. We also offer wraparound provision for 3 year olds who have a nursery school place. As we are a Children’s Centre we offer more facilities for families in conjunction with Manningham Surestart. For many children, coming to nursery is their first experience of being away from home and family. The many play activities offered in nursery promote children’s physical, emotional, spiritual, moral, language and intellectual development and lay the foundations for later learning in math’s, science, technology, social studies and the arts.
