Lyndhurst Nursery welcomes children from the age of two years. Our approach is flexible, offering care from 08.00 to 18.00 in term time or 50 weeks a year, depending on your family’s needs. The nursery is regarded as an important part of the school, yet has its own setting within the site, offering children the best of both worlds – access to school facilities as well as their own special place. Our aim is to provide a secure and caring environment in which independence, self-esteem and the foundations of good social and academic skills can develop.
The day is split into five sections from which you can choose those (consecutive) sessions that best suit your needs:
08.00 - 08.45 – Early Birds
08.45 - 11.45 – Session one, includes a mid morning snack
11.45 - 12.45 – Lunch, includes a hot lunch cooked on the premises
12.45 - 15.15 – Session two, includes afternoon snack
15.15 - 18.00 – Includes tea for those staying beyond 16.30
Lyndhurst is managed by a fully qualified, very experienced (and much-loved!) teacher. She is ably assisted by NNEB qualified nursery nurses and assistants. We operate a strict staff pupil ratio of 1:4 for children under the age of 3 and 1:8 for children aged 3 or 4.
