Skylarks Day Care is registered with Ofsted to provide good quality, affordable, flexible day care to children aged 3-5. Skylarks is fully integrated with Batford Nursery School which received an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted in June 2007. This means that during their sessions the children use the dedicated Skylarks’ room as their base but during free choice time have access to the whole of the Nursery and all of its resources including the fantastic garden. Each session is staffed by a Manager and qualified Supervisor supported by a mix of trained staff and staff undertaking training in childcare with the ratio never exceeding 1 adult to 8 children. Up to 20 children may be accommodated at each session. Breakfast, Morning, Afternoon and Tea sessions, from 8am to 6pm, are offered during the day and these can be booked on a flexible basis, as many or as few as required. Although during term time priority is given to children attending Batford Nursery School, if spaces are available these are open to any 3-5 year olds. Nursery Education Grant funding may be available for 3 and 4 year olds.
