Puddleducks Day Nursery is situated conveniently near to Baldock main train station with easy access to the A1. The nursery is a characteristic Grade II listed building with a car park to the rear of the premises. We aim to ensure that each child can develop at their own pace whilst ensuring their individuality is respected. We provide an environment where children can learn the joy of discovery whilst feeling secure in a homely and caring atmosphere. At Puddleducks we recognise that all children are individual, to ensure that there is a smooth transition when starting at the nursery we arrange several preliminary visits before the child is due to start. We also encourage parents to phone us at any time. Although we assign a key person to your child when they start your child will choose their own key person approximately a month after they have been at the nursery. All of our planning, assessments and observations follow the new EYFS framework and staff keep a record of each child's "learning journey" which are discussed at parent's evenings. When your child reaches 3 years old we can apply for government funding on your behalf entitling you to a maximum of five 2.5 hour sessions per week. We have a ballet teacher and Spanish teacher who come to the nursery once a week - there is no extra charge for these sessions. We welcome any further enquiries.
